# StartupWall

> StartupWall (https://startupwall.org) is a public wall where early-stage founders list their startups. Founders claim square blocks on a 125 by 80 grid, add their logo, name, a one-line description and up to 3 links, and visitors browse the wall and click through. It is built for first-time, indie and student founders who just launched and need their first users, feedback and visibility.

## Who it is for
- Founders of apps, websites, SaaS, open-source projects and side projects, including ones that launched yesterday.
- Student founders: anyone who signs in with a school email (.edu, or .ac like .ac.uk) gets 1 block free, permanently, no card needed.
- Visitors looking for new tools, free products, beta invites, deals, or startups that are hiring.

## Pricing
- $5 per block, paid once. No subscription, no renewals. Example: a 2 by 2 spot is 4 blocks = $20.
- Free 7-day trial for a spot of up to 4 blocks (one per account). A card is saved with Stripe; nothing is charged for 7 days; cancel any time before then and nothing is charged.
- Students: 1 block free with a school email.
- Payments are handled by Stripe.

## Features
- Each spot shows the logo, name, description, up to 3 links (website, App Store, Google Play, GitHub, etc.).
- Tags founders can set: Free to use, Open source, Wants beta testers, Wants feedback, Hiring, Free for students. Visitors filter the wall by tag.
- A deal or discount code for visitors, and an optional public contact (email, social handle or link).
- Public stats for every spot: views, clicks, click rate, rank, and clicks over the last 7 days. Each visitor counts once per spot per day; owners' own visits don't count.
- Leaderboard ranked by clicks, by size, and by clicks this week, so small spots can rank above big ones.
- Live view (https://startupwall.org/live): every startup as a floating bubble sized by blocks owned.
- Sign in with Google or with an emailed sign-in link. Logo, name, links and tags can be edited any time for free.

## How to get listed
1. Go to https://startupwall.org and drag across empty blocks on the wall (tap on phones).
2. Sign in, add a logo (PNG or JPG), name, one-line description and link.
3. Start the free trial, pay $5 per block, or claim the free student block.
